The Orchard Clinic® D.R. CORSET helps with the recovery of diastasis recti or the separation of the abdominal muscles, by providing compression support on the surface levels.

Combined with the Orchard Clinic® Method for Diastasis Recti, a series of high intensity, non‑invasive treatments is recommended for a complete program.

Diastasis Recti or more commonly referred to as the mummy tummy, is a partial or complete separation of the rectus abdominis, measured by a separation wider than 2.7cm between the left and right recti muscles.

This is very common with 80% of women developing DR in the third trimester of pregnancy and 50% of mothers continue to suffer from this condition years after childbirth.

“I’ve tried a few others but they made my skin itch – so I ended up not wearing them at all. The DR. CORSET feels lighter and softer, and more importantly, it still has the right support and compression.”

Gina Tham

“I was first introduced to the DR. CORSET at Orchard Clinic while I was undergoing treatments for diastasis recti. It helps to support and shape my tummy while working on my DR recovery.”

Jermaine Chua

“What I like about the DR. CORSET is that it comes with a professional fitting and also an assessment for postpartum recovery. I’m glad to also reduce my corset size from M to S!”

Gwen Lim

Do you have a size guide?

We recommend a customised fitting session as the D.R. CORSET should fit snugly for the right compression and support. Generally, women may start to downsize their corset after reducing the tummy size.

How do I wash the D.R. CORSET?

Machine-wash with a laundry bag every day.

Do I have to wear the D.R. CORSET every day?

It depends if you are wearing the corset as shapewear or for diastasis recti recovery. As every body is different, we recommend speaking to your D.R. CORSET fitter.

What is included in the postpartum assessment?

A comprehensive body check for diastasis recti and pelvic floor will be included, and is recommended 6-8 weeks after giving birth.

I’ve given birth a long time ago, is it too late for me?

We do see many mothers who have given birth a long time ago, and still suffer from DR. While treating it sooner rather than later is recommended, treatment results and recovery are usually still possible.

I don’t have DR, can I wear this?

Yes you can. Apart from its shaping and contouring benefits, the corset will help to promote better posture and support for the lower back.
